Imagine for a moment a sports injury. Obviously the pain of the injury will occupy your mind at first, but eventually you will have to learn how to heal and strengthen what ever you injured. Also imagine somebody with extreme pain in any part of their body. A couple of examples include knee pain, lower back pain or maybe even shoulder pain. No matter where it is, it is certainly going to gain a lot of attention in your life very rapidly.
Why would we bring this up? Because the if you get injured or if you decide to take on your pain, you are probably going to work with a physical therapist. Any physical therapist worth their salt will likely use resistance bands as part of your rehabilitation program. These little elastic straps provide an amazing amount of therapeutic and strength building benefits regardless of the type of injury or pain that you are experiencing.
Unfortunately, resistance bands tend to fly under the radar when it comes to strength training and regular workouts. It is truly unfortunate, but we believe if you start to incorporate them in your regular workouts, you will not only enjoy numerous benefits but you will also avoid injury! You can actually use the tools of rehabilitation to do preventative exercises that will keep you out of the doctor's office.
In our store we feature quite a few resistance band kits. Pick the one that you think will work best for you and then seek out the numerous amounts of instructional videos that are available to you. Ultimately you'll have to do exercises that are challenging, but not impossible. We have not gone into the exercise video world, mainly because there are literally millions of videos already in existence. In other words, you're going to have to do a little bit of experimentation!
Resistance bands do a lot for the human body. Not only are the portable, but you can actually combine them with other traditional exercises that you may already be doing in the gym. For example, you can attach resistance bands to your bench press to give you increasing resistance as you complete the repetition. You can also use them to improve speed of a throwing arm, or maybe build those glutes that you see on Instagram.
Even if you don't buy from us, please consider resistance bands in your near future. They are incredibly helpful, adaptable, and they will open up a new realm of possibility for your levels of physical fitness. Have fun with it, try new things, and you'll be surprised at how much you will notice the effects of a great resistance band workout!
